Yes! Our cases are designed for smart phones that support NFC! Most modern phones like iPhones (7+ and higher) and android phones already have NFC for things like touch to pay. If your phone supports NFC and is able to download one of the many NFC to smartink apps, then it should work!
No! does not require batteries or charging. It draws minimal power through NFC, just like tap-to-pay systems. Also, once you set the screen to image, it will stay there until you are ready to change it again!
Yes! You can update your case design instantly using any smartink phone case app from either Google Play or the iPhone AppStore. You can upload your own photos or select from preset designs from those apps.
Yes! The e-paper display retains the last image shown, even if your phone runs out of battery. The case and phone are completely seprate and the case can even be taken off at still retain its image.

Don't worry this is to be expected as the case's technology works on the principal of magentic fields. Simply just upload the same image and the image should reappear good as new!
